Barbara "Babs" Kim Dorsey

Barbara Kim Dorsey, 69, was called home Monday, April 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 23, 1954, in Bluefield, West Virgina, Barbara was a Poquoson resident for the past 55 years.

She loved family time along with sunny days on the beach. She would always attend any and all activities involving her grandchildren and she loved sun tanning, beach going and family vacations. She held many jobs along the way but found her calling in the childcare profession.

Barbara is survived by her children, Robert Dorsey, Jr (Jennifer) and Kimberly Healy (Jason); grandchildren, Ashley Porter, Nathan Dorsey, Logan Dorsey, Wyatt Healy, and Gavin Dorsey; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Porter, Grayson Dorsey, Cameron Porter, and Jackson Dorsey; siblings, Kathy Pack, Mike Glass and Steve Glass along with many other loving relatives and dear friends.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, April 21st at the Keep The Promise Worship Center, 402 Wythe Creek Road, Poquoson, VA.
