Shirley Morris Freeman

Shirley Morris Freeman, 89, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018. A native of Hampton, she was a Poquoson resident for the past 71 years. Shirley retired from the Civil Service at NASA Langley as a Budget Manager and she was a very active member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Poquoson. It has been said that she held every layperson's position throughout her membership at Tabernacle.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, E. Thomas Freeman, Jr., Shirley is survived by her daughter, Nancy F. Topping (Chuck); son, E. Thomas Freeman, III MD (Cheryl); grandsons Allan (Jill), Daniel and Gregory Freeman as well as many other loving relatives and dear friends
Shirley's family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Westminster Canterbury Hospice for their outstanding care.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27th at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with a visitation to follow. Mrs. Freeman will be laid to rest Tuesday morning prior to the service at Parklawn Memorial Park.
