Aaron Todd Pratt, 44, passed away on October 20, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with Huntington’s disease. Aaron was a native of Newport News and then later resided in Yorktown, Virginia. He served in the in the USMC and went on to be a police officer with the Hampton Police Department, where he found his calling. Aaron’s time was well spent hunting, fishing, mountain biking, and going to Disney World with his loving family.
Preceding Aaron in rest are his father, Daniel C. Pratt; paternal grandparents, Doc Jasper Pratt and Catherine Pratt; maternal grandparents, Lonnie Alley and Dorothy Alley.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kameron Pratt, Bailey Pratt, and Alison Pratt; mother, Anita Rothe (Steven) of Yorktown; stepmother, Shirley Pratt of Newport News; sister, Elizabeth Pratt Matthews (Chris) of Poquoson; stepbrothers, Sean and Timothy Rothe and family; nephews, Jake and Brody Matthews of Poquoson; Aunt Frances Alley, Aunt Robin and Chris Young, and a host of cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Maranatha Baptist Church of Yorktown beginning at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Huntington’s Disease Society of America or the HDYO (Huntington’s Disease Youth Organization).
