Alexander Cesar Vazquez

Alexander C. Vazquez, 66, went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2022. Alex was born on June 7th, 1955, to the late Alejandro Vazquez and Mariana Mendoza in Bahia De Caraques, Ecuador and was a resident of Virginia for the last 26 years. Alex came with his family from Ecuador in 1962. He grew up in the State of Maryland and acquired his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland and his Master’s degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. Alex was formally an active employee at the U.S. Defense Supply Center in Richmond. Alex loved reading, watching football going out to eat, and going on trips with his family. He was very family oriented and his primary joy in life was his family. Alex was a faithful member of St. Kateri Tekawitha Church in Yorktown.
Alex is reunited in Heaven with his parents, and half-sister, Amelia Vazquez of Ecuador.
His memory is cherished by his loving wife of 21 years, Noris Vazquez; and his son, Carlos D. Vazquez.
A memorial mass will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 Buckroe Avenue in Hampton, Virginia.
