Brenda Gail Forrest Insley, 77, passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2020. Brenda was a lifelong resident and native of Poquoson. She worked as a waitress for many of Poquoson’s restaurants serving the community for 20 years. Anna’s Pizza of Poquoson was her last and best known time of service where she worked for 20 years.
Brenda is preceded in rest by her parents, Henry Melvin and Levenia Forrest; son, Doug Insley; and grandson, David Scott Insley.
Left to cherish her memory are her long time companion, Jack Little; son, Melvin H. Insley (Rahe); daughter, Judith I. Smoker (Mike); grandchildren, James Insley (Michaela), Tommy White (Victoria), Chris Smoker, and Wesley Insley; great-grandchildren, Easton White and Maddox White; sister, Paige Shores; aunt, Janice Hopkins (Billy); numerous nieces and nephews, and a special thanks to her nephew Zac Zasimowich and his wife, Sherry.

Services will be planned at the family’s discretion during a safer time.
