Brenda Pruitt

Brenda Pruitt, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on May 25th, 2022. Brenda, a retail manager with Maxway and Dollar General, retired in 2003. During her employment years, Brenda and her sister Doris lived in various cities throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. She had resided with family in Poquoson since 2016. Her family was gifted the opportunity to spend her 80th birthday with her with a surprise party. 
Brenda is preceded in rest by her momma and daddy, Alice Hunt and Oscar Phlegar; sister, Doris Josephine Rhinehart; and brothers, Jesse and Leonard Phlegar.
She is survived by her children, Michele Darlene Tuten and Michael Eugene Wells; grandchildren, Jessica Lawson and husband Brian, Jennifer Tuten, Jason Tuten and wife Lily, Michael “Gene” Wells, Jr. and wife Amanda, Steffi Wells, Dayton Wells; great-grandchildren, Chase, Evan, Blake, Ella, and Selah; as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families.
A celebration of her life will be held at her home on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
