Carol D. Naramore

Carol D. Naramore passed away at 86 on April 18, 2026, after fighting the good fight. She was born on November 7, 1939, in Portland, Oregon and became a long-time resident of Poquoson, Virginia when she and her husband purchased a home on the water to dock their boat.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard (Bud) Naramore and leaves behind two sons, Steve and Ron Yakshe as well as four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also a caring stepmother to Bud’s children, Bill, Bob and Becky Naramore as well as their children and grandchildren.

Carol worked in accounting after achieving a bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport College late in life. She worked at Eggleston Smith in Newport News, Virginia doing small business taxes prior to her retirement.

Her fondest memories were of living with Bud on their sailboat sailing throughout the south Atlantic for a year prior to settling in Poquoson.

The family will have an intimate Celebration of Life at their home in Poquoson.
