Chris Pruitt

Christ Pruitt, 75, passed away on October 16, 2023. A native of Hammond, Indiana, Chris was a Poquoson resident for the last 22 years.

Chris dedicated 26 years to the military, concluding his service with the rank of First Sergeant (E8). He earned the prestigious Purple Heart and Silver Star for his exceptional service during two tours in Vietnam.

Outside of his professional life, Chris found relaxation and enjoyment in the game of golf, exploring various courses. When he wasn't on the golf course, he cherished moments playing video games with his family and online friends.

Chris is reunited with his parents, Christinia and James Pruitt.

His memory is cherished by his loving wife of 50 years, Pam Pruitt; children, Eric Pruitt, Sean and Angela Pruitt; grandchildren, Michael Oesterreicher, Jr., Nicole Atwell, Jacob Pruitt, Robert Gates, Lois Gene Gates, and Timothy James Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Roman Osterreicher, Felix Oesterrieicher, and Ellie Pruitt.
