Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Lila and Heber Davison of Utah.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Janice Davison; his daughters, Joy (Keith) Parr and Jennifer (Grayson) Bunting; and his cherished grandchildren, Drew and Jordan Parr and Brody and Jake Bunting, all of Poquoson, Virginia.

Danny was a loving and devoted husband who met the love of his life while serving in the U.S. Army. Together, he and Janice built a beautiful life on the Peninsula centered around family and love. His world revolved around his daughters and grandchildren, and he treasured every opportunity to teach life lessons, encourage good character, share his love of sports, and support them in every endeavor.
Danny was also a devoted brother, lovingly referred to by his sisters as their protector and admired by all as a role model. He was known for his deep love of sports and his enthusiasm for sharing that passion with family and friends alike.

Throughout his life, Danny enjoyed playing a wide variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, football, softball, bowling, and golf. Whether competing, coaching, or cheering from the sidelines, sports remained one of the great joys of his life.
Danny will be remembered most for his unwavering devotion to his family, his generous spirit, his sense of humor, and the love and guidance he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia, during a private family memorial service on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
