Donald Ellis "Donnie" Nuttall, 75, passed away at home in Poquoson, VA surrounded by his loved ones on December 21st, 2020, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Newport News, VA to George Ellis Nuttall and Jacqueline Gardner Nuttall. He graduated from Warwick High School where he was more commonly known as "Whitey". After high school he served 2 years in Vietnam with the US Army. He then began his life-long career in commercial contracting, working on numerous buildings and facilities with a variety of contractors. He was proudly working until the time of his passing with Leebcor Services.
Donnie fully lived his life cherishing his Sweet Jean, his family, friends, and fishing. He didn't know a stranger and was always ready to help anyone in need. His humor and smile will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife Therial "Jean" Keech Deans Nuttall, his son Alexander Nuttall (Roza), son Thomas Deans, and daughter Amy Deans. Grandchildren Spencer Deans, Jennie Nuttall, Trevor Deans, and Molly Paige Deans. His siblings Brenda Schaffner, Cheryl Deal (Dan), Gary Nuttall (Debbie), David Nuttall (Michael-Ann); sister-in-law Janet Nuttall; numerous nieces and nephews; and former daughter-in-law Amy Nuttall. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Reed Nuttall.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 29th at Peninsula Memorial Park at 11am; with all who attend respecting mask and social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank in Donnie's honor. Jean and Donnie were thankful for the love, care, and support of their family, friends, and Hospice.
