Doris Irene (Fike) Paquette

Doris Irene Paquette (Fike) passed away April 21, 2025. A native of Syracuse, New York, the middle child of 5, she was born May 13, 1931, to late Louis and Mary Braman Fike. Doris was a graduate of Valley High School in Syracuse. On June 6, 1953, she married Leon Edward Paquette while he was beginning his career in the Navy and she, in return, began her career as a Navy wife. They were fortunate enough to be stationed in the Tidewater area for most of Leon’s military time. Doris raised three sons in Hampton and she was very loyal to her family and friends. She enjoyed Sunday brunches at IHOP with her friends for many years. She was an Uber before there was an Uber because she was always willing to drive her friends to doctor’s appointments or whatever they needed to go.

Doris is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of 53 years. Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Joseph Louis Paquette (Shirley), Richard James Paquette, and Phillip Edward Paquette (Barbara); three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as many other loving relatives and dear friends.

A celebration of Doris’ life will be held, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home in Poquoson.
