Earl N. Rector, 83, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2026.
Born on December 15, 1942, in Hampton, Virginia, Earl spent the past 74 years as a resident of Newport News. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for three and a half years and was honorably discharged.
Earl was employed at Soap & Suds, where he worked from 2008 until 2022. In his free time, he enjoyed yard work, collecting coins, and watching movies.
Earl enjoyed taking his son to the park, where they would bring two or three loaves of bread to throw into the little lake for the ducks and turtles.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, James Rector.
