On February 12, 2020, Edna Sarver Taylor passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family and friends at the age of 89.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years Donald Leon Taylor, her son Donald L. Taylor Jr. (wife, Mary) and her daughter Deborah Taylor Powell (husband, Richard), 4 grandchildren, Greg Taylor (wife, Soojin), Russ Taylor (wife, Kari), Jennifer Griffin (husband, James), Amanda Holladay (husband, Mark), and 8 great grandchildren, Fenton Taylor, Tristan Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Thomas Holladay, William Holladay, Matthew Holladay, Austin Griffin, and Taylor Griffin.
Edna was born in Blacksburg, Virginia and spent almost 50 years in Poquoson, Va. Edna enjoyed painting, and journal writing of her travels and adventures. She loved her flowers and gardening, she could transform a dead plant and resurrect it back to life. Along with her husband they traveled to different military duty stations around the world. After retirement, Edna and Don Sr. enjoyed traveling by boat up and down in the intercostal waterways on the Taylor Maid for 28 years.
She loved her children, she adored her grandchildren, but she treasured her great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home Poquoson Va. and final internment will be at Arlington Cemetery at a later date.
