Frances Bridgwater Green

Frances Bridgwater Green passed from this life on February 27th, 2021. She was the oldest daughter of Ruth Mawyer and William Leonard Bridgwater, Sr. and the second of 5 siblings. She was the last living member of that generation having lived on this earth for 95 years.
Originally from Nelson County, VA, Frances {Sug (short for sugar) as most of her family new her} was a Home Economics teacher in her younger years and had lived in Poquoson most of her life. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Carroll Moore, Sr., Her son, Thomas Carroll Moore, Jr. and her second husband, William A Green.  
Frances was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church in Poquoson, Va. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations in her memory could be made to Emmaus Baptist Church (or Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Lovingston, VA for those who knew Frances in the Nelson County area).
