Gail Straughen Hall

Gail Straughen Hall was called home to be with the Lord on July 7th. She passed away peacefully at home following a brave battle with kidney disease and cancer. Gail worked for the Daily Press for many years before becoming a school bus driver for the Newport News City Schools where she ended her career after several years of service. Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Betty Straughen.  Gail is survived by her sons JC (Emily) and Brek; and her siblings Gloria Taylor (Burl) Teena Culotta (Kerry) and Barry Straughen (Tammy). Also surviving are grandsons Kenny, James, Jaxson, and Brennan, and great grandchildren Silas and Amara. A celebration of life will be held beginning 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 20th at the home of Darryll Griffiths, 228 Springdale Way, Hampton, VA 23666 . In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
