Henry “Hank” Brodsky, 86, passed away, Saturday, March 18, 2023. A native of Schenectady, NY, Hank was a Poquoson resident for 43 years and more recently of Newport News. He served his country in the United States Air Force as a pilot for over 20 years and retired at the rank of Lt. Colonel. He was a longtime member of the Poquoson Kiwanis Club where he served as Lt. Governor of the Capital District of Kiwanis International. Hank was a member of Rodef Sholom Temple in Newport News.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Claudia “Polly” Brodsky, Hank is survived by his children, Neal Brodsky (Susan), Karen Andrich (Peter), Michael Brodsky (Deborah) and David Brodsky (Amanda); and eight grandchildren, Sara Brodsky Shein (Jon), Rachel Brodsky, Parker Brodsky, Jacob Andrich, Henry Andrich, Elise Andrich, Matthew Brodsky, and Tyler Brodsky.
The family will receive friends 5–6:30 p.m. Thursday evening at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, VA and a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 24th at Claytor Rollins with the burial following at 3 p.m. in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News.
