Obituary
Herbert William Wright, Sr., 93, passed away on July 3, 2022. Herbert was a member of Local Union #79 Ironworkers and Masonic Lodge #49 and Scottish Rite. He enjoyed umpiring baseball and softball, gardening, and loved his children fiercely.
Herbert is reunited in Heaven with his wife, Betty Sue Forrest Wright; parents, Daniel Duncan Wright and Amanda Lenel Wright; brothers, James Pate Wright, Daniel Vance Wright, Vernon Harrell Wright, and Melvin Eugene Wright.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Wanda Nixon and husband Tommy, Herbert Wright, Jr. and wife André, Cathy (Sissy) Everett and husband Glenn, Jimmy Wright and wife Laura; grandchildren, Tiffany Davenport and husband Marc, Amanda Wright, Drew Wright and wife Rachel, Glenn Everett, III, Parker Wright; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Tommy Pat Forrest and wife Janice, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton. Memorial contributions may be made to Keep the Promise Ministries at 402 Wythe Creek Road, Poquoson, VA 23662.
