Retired Master Sergeant Jeffrey J. Paige, 71, entered into rest on October 4 2019. A native of Norwalk, Connecticut, Jeff resided in Hampton, Virginia. Jeff was devoted to his country. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years retiring as an E8 Curriculum Developer at Camber Corp. and Intelligence Analyst for the F.B.I and U.S. Army. Jeff served his country in three tours of Vietnam, served in the 173rd, 101st and 82nd Airborn divisions, LRRP Army Rangers, LRRP Tiger Force, worked 9 years at the Marine Detachment at Damn Neck, including working as Counter Intelligence, Roleplay Instructor and a Testing Officer for the Army. Alongside his military career, Jeff was a Former Lion’s Club President, earned two master’s degrees at the University of Maryland, and owned Jeff Paige Investigations, working as a private investigator alongside his wife, Kathy, before retiring.
Jeff is preceded in rest by his parents, Joseph and Barbara Paige; son, Troy Paige; grandson, Fallon Hayes; and former wife, Wyoma Paige.
He is survived by his current wife of 8 years, Kathy Paige; son, Daren Paige and wife Karen; step-children, Summer Tinsley, Joshua Tinsley and wife Constance; grandchildren, Kerrie Clabo and husband Nick, Danielle Hurley, Joe Paige, Izaya Tinsley, Mya Tinsley, Jeremyah Tinsley, David Lewis, Aubrey Copeland, Nouh Copeland, Alexis Copeland, Caleb Hayes, and Zoey Hayes; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pope, Nick Clabo, Jr., Nathan Clabo, Natalie Clabo, Melah Shelton, and Madison Shelton; sister, Candace Richardson and husband Mark; brother, Christopher Paige, nieces, Alyssa Richardson and Holly Paige; brother-in-law, Karl Fowler and his wife Martha; special friends, Stacy Campbell, Carol Kotzer, Forest Fllingsworth, Stephanie Hurley, Dan Hurley, Ted and Jean Harvey, and many countless friends, neighbors, co-workers and brothers in arms.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2019 at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home. The burial, following the service, will take place 2:00 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
