June Manning 82 passed away on October 10, 2019 after a long battle with Dementia. June was born in Poquoson Virginia on December 8, 1936. A lifelong Poquoson resident, she loved her little town and was always proud to tell anyone where she was from. She graduated from Poquoson High School in 1955 and was Valedictorian of her class.

Also in 1955 she married Carl L. Manning and had 3 boys over the next 10 years. They remained in Poquoson and raised their family. June worked for many businesses including Leggett’s and also for LAFB. She helped her husband build many homes which they lived in and helped with their gardens each year. June was a devoted Methodist and loved all of her Bible study friends and all church activities.

June loved to go to garage and yard sales. She would getup extra early to try and find the great bargains. She would continue this as are family expanded with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren became her greatest love as the years went by. She would always try to find that particular toy or item every Saturday morning as she ventured out to all of the sales she could get to.

She would do her best to go see all of the grandkids in all of their events as they grew older. Everyone who knew her said she was one of the sweetest and nicest and kindest person’s that they have ever met. She would do anything she could in her power to help out anybody.
