Kenneth Edmond Wright

Kenneth Edmond Wright, 69, a native of Poquoson, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025.

Kenny retired from the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company after 40 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Charlotte Wright and he is survived by his brother, Bernard A Wright, Jr. and wife Dian.

Kenny learned his love of fishing and boating during his years of growing up in Poquoson. He was proud to be known as a “Bull Islander”. Kenny was a strong patriot; he valued the American Flag and the country it represents.

A private graveside service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
