Leila "Peggy" Miller Obituary

Leila “Peggy” Muriel Miller, 78, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2021. Peggy was born on December 28, 1942, in Washington, DC, and lived in Virginia for most of her life. 
Peggy professed her faith in Jesus Christ. Now she resides in heaven where she is reunited with her beloved husband, Bill Miller.  
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents May and Albert Gaulton; her foster parents Beth and Chuck Hoover;  husband Bill Miller; and first husband John Taugner.  She is survived by her brother, Emile Gaulton. She is also survived by her daughters Beth Ann Wilson (the late Graham Wilson) and Gwendolyn Louise Parker (Scott); grandchildren Kasey Wilson, Graham Wilson Jr., Sean Parker, and Jessie Fleeger (Jackson); and many nieces and nephews.
Peggy grew up in McLean, VA. Peggy was a dedicated homemaker and mother. Her second career was at Fairfax County Office for Children where she retired.
Peggy was full of joy. She woke up happy each day and loved to be involved in various activities with her friends and family. She enjoyed traveling, water aerobics, swimming, boating, crocheting, and playing lots of Rummikub.  Peggy was known for baking delicious desserts and sharing them with everyone she knew.  She was a faithful woman that attended church regularly. She had many friends due to her kind, fun-loving, and generous spirit.
Peggy spent her last three months in her new condo in St. Petersburg, Florida, where  she enjoyed spending her days with her nephew Joe Bailey his wife Donna and their children, and Charles Spitzer and his wife, Alice. 
A memorial service will be held at Coastal Church Yorktown on Monday, September 20th at 11:00 a.m.  The family will receive friends following the service.
The family is requesting donations to any non-profit Foster Agency.
