Lemuel V. Evans, Jr.

Lemuel V. Evans, Jr., 80, departed this life on January 28, 2024. Born to Lemuel Evans, Sr. and Mary Evelyn Evans on July 28, 1943, Lemuel was a lifelong Poquoson native.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family and was one of the greatest blessings to our family. He loved watching John Wayne movies and western movies.

Lemuel is reunited with his wife of 45 years, Shirley Evans; his parents, and his sister, Rosalyn Topping.

His memory is cherished by his daughters, Sharon Smith and Shannon McMichael; grandchildren, Thomas Smith (Emily), Jonathan Smith, Christopher McMichael and Brittany McMichael; great-grandchildren, Audrianna Hockaday-McMichael, Leslie Smith, Leon Hockaday-McMichael and Dylan Smith.

A graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 11:00AM.
