It is with great sadness that we have lost our matriarch:
Linda Catherine Allison, 71, of Isle of Wight.
She passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her children on October 26th.
Linda was born on December 31st to Nicholas and Daisy Woodruff in Nash County, North Carolina. She was one of 9 children. Linda married Fred E. Allison on September 5th, 1965; Fred was 20 and Linda was 15. They have been married for 56 years. They had their fearsome foursome, as they lovingly called their four children.
She is survived by her brother, Donald, loving husband, four children, a bonus child, 22 grandchildren, and 26 great- grandchildren.

Linda's special nieces and nephews, Shirley, Laura, Karen, Eddie, Nichole, and Nicholas.
Linda had two special lifelong friends, Lilly, and Linda.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, Tommy, Irene, Marvin, Bobby, Shela Carol, Shirley and Jeff.
Linda had so many special ways about her. She believed in standing up for what was right. She was a fiercely independent woman that did whatever it took to ensure that her family had what they needed. She had a special bond with each of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She never left anyone out or treated them unfairly. She was very selfless and was always willing to help anyone. She made everyone that was involved in her life feel special and wanted. She had a great love for animals, and it wasn’t uncommon for there to be more animals than people. She loved going treasure shopping and doing puzzles with family. She was loved by many, and her beautiful spirit and presence will be greatly missed.
Please be patient as we are planning a celebration of life and gathering of family and friends to honor Momma’s memory. We look forward to sharing your wonderful memories of Momma with us. Please check back on this website for a date and place to be announced.
