Margaret Lee (Insley) Watkins

Margaret Lee Watkins, 95, was called Home on December 11, 2021, in her home, and surrounded by her family. Born on August 28, 1926, Margaret Lee was a native and lifelong Poquoson resident. She graduated from Poquoson High School in 1943 and on her 17th birthday, married the love of her life, Durward. They remained married for 70 years. She was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the Wesley Fellowship Class until her health would no longer allow her to attend.
Margaret Lee is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, Durward Watkins, and her parents, Grover F. Insley and Janette P. Insley.
Her memory is cherished by her children, Bobby Watkins and wife Donna, Danny Watkins and wife Cynthia, Jerry Watkins and wife Donna, and Marie Hamann and husband George; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and she is cherished by many extended family members and dear friends. 
The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 17th beginning 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Poquoson. The service will immediately follow in the sanctuary at noon. Her burial will be at Peninsula Memorial Park after the service. Friends are welcome at the home of George and Marie, 806 Poquoson Avenue following the committal.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
