Mark Alan Silva

Mark Alan Silva, 59, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Walter Reed Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Mark wrestled and graduated from Bethel High School in 1981, and Newport News Apprentice School in 1985. He continued his shipbuilding career for 30 years culminating as a Construction Supervisor.

Mark loved his family, coaching wrestling, hunting, fishing, the Washington Redskins and NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kate and Frank Silva; brother, Scott Silva; mother and father-in-law, Norma and Jim Call.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie Silva; daughter, Whitney and Henry Grandelis; son, Cody Silva and Samantha Dail; brother, Brian and Kitty Silva; sister-in-law, Chrissy Silva; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
