Obituary

Martha Ann Greene-Workman of Poquoson, Virginia passed away on June 11, 2022.

Martha was born in Charleston, West Virginia and grew up in Alderson, West Virginia. Martha was preceded in death by her parents Virginia Fitzgerald Greene and Carl Greene.
Martha graduated from Alderson High School, obtained a RN from C&O Railway Hospital School of Nursing, a BSN and a Master’s in Education from the University of Virginia, a MSN from Duke University, and a PHD in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Martha was a retired Clinical Psychologist.

She was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Yorktown, Virginia.

Martha enjoyed time with her doggies Dobby, Freddy, Oliver, and Teddy. Daily she enjoyed the New York Times crossword puzzle, green tea, and dark chocolate. She was an avid University of Virginia and Duke University fan. 

Survivors include her husband, Marcus; daughter, Virginia Singla (Shobhit); sister Susan Hale (Darryl); niece, Sarah Kirby; nephews, Jamie Kirby (Donna) and David Kirby (Carrie); great nephews and niece; and several cousins.

Any service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Martha’s memory to local animal shelters and Feeding America or your local food bank.
