Mary D. Mister

Mary D. Mister passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023.  Mary was a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads.  She was preceded in death by parents Bill & Lee Mister.  Leaving to cherish her memory is son, Ronnie Mesic of Carrollton, sisters, Sandy Hickman of Onancock, Pat Clark (Bernie) of Poquoson, Jan “Mike” Darnell (Gary) of Belhaven, NC, granddaughter, Savannah Besjovic of Carrollton, niece, Kelly Darnell, nephews, Chris Willett, and Eddie Mann.
After graduating from Hampton High School, Mary began her career with C&P Telephone which later became Bell Atlantic, then Verizon.  It was during these years Mary developed a wide circle of friends.  Mary lived life to the fullest until losing her battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  She was a fighter and fought this disease valiantly.
Visitation will be 7pm - 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, at at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home in Poquoson with graveside service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Weston Cemetery. All other times family will be at 2 Hansom Dr. in Poquoson.
