Myrtle Ann Roberts Goodwine was called Home on July 9, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 21, 1952, Myrtle was a lifelong resident of Poquoson. She worked as a home health caregiver. She served the lord and was a member of Messick Baptist Church.
Myrtle loved spending time her time playing bingo and gambling with her friends and family. She was devoted to spending time with her family and adored her great-granddaughters.
Myrtle is reunited in Heaven with her mother, Mary Roberts; brothers, Jerry Firth and Peter Roberts; sisters, Stella Hornsby and Mary Allen Rutkowski.
Her memory is cherished by her children, Kimberly Parks, Cathy Shackelford, Ricky Belvin, Jr. (Miranda); grandchildren, Kyle Woody, Brandon Jenkins, Christina Cedeno (Ray), Kenny Parks, Savannah Martin, Gary and Chandler Belvin; great-grandchildren, Summer Dolan and Raelynn Cedeno; sister, Harriet Ashby (Eugene); sister-in-law, Donna Humphrey; brother-in-law, Ben Jenkins (Nancy); Grady Haley; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 12th at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13th at the funeral home with the burial immediately following in Eastern Cemetery.
