Nina Mae White Hitt. 83, went to be with the Lord, the morning of Saturday, August 19, 2023. A native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, Nina held the title of Miss Poquoson 1957, played Poquoson High School basketball and was also on the cheerleading squad. She was the owner of Beacon Healthcare Service, Inc. and retired in 2023. Nina loved spending time with her family, being on the water, and traveling when she was not dedicating her time to her business. She was a strong woman of faith.
Preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Hitt; father, Rodney Clayton White, Jr., mother, Elsie Mae Eaton White, and brother, Rodney Clayton White, III, Nina is survived by her sons, Robert Dotson (Kim) and Thomas Dotson (Angie); daughter, Amy Mercado (Eddie); grandchildren, Robert Dotson, III (Manoe), Christopher Dotson (Karen), Kasey Cibrin (Brad), Morgan Jacobs (Cory), Kristina Thompson, Eddie Mercado, Jr., and Megan Campbell; great-grandchildren, Christopher Dotson, Jr, Kylie Dotson, Cyrus Cibrin, Rowan Jacobs, and Katelyn, Luca and Bentley; brother, Donald White (Sandy) as well as many other loving relatives and dear friends.
