Patricia "Pat" Sue Goslee

After a courageous battle with cancer, Patricia (Pat) Sue Goslee, 77, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving husband, Jim, immediate family and her loyal companion, Chase on November 8, 2022. Pat was born on June 24, 1945, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late James “Jimmie” Hawkins and Idell Virginia Lynch Hawkins of the Haliwa Saponi Indian Tribe of Hollister, North Carolina. She spent most of her adult life in Poquoson and worked in the banking industry until she retired in 2014.  After retirement, Pat worked at the Poquoson Dollar Tree where she became the cashier everybody asked about.  She loved spending time with her family, working in her flower gardens and feeding the birds she so admired. She also enjoyed her trips to the Mountains with her husband, Jim.  Pat had a special love for Doberman Pinscher and raised several over the years, the latest being her dog Chase, whom she adored.

Pat was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was married to James (Jim) Goslee for 32 years and had one son, Mickey Walton, who preceded her in death. Pat was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James, and Oliver; two sisters, Wilma, and Bernadine; and nephews, Jimmy and Tony Webb.

In addition to Jim to cherish her memory of a contagious smile and warm heart, she also leaves her nieces and nephews:  Gene and Joyce Webb, Bubba and Loralei Waddell, Pam Updyke, Paige Hawkins, Jennifer Todd, and Rebecca Webb.  As well as the Goslee family, she leaves many close friends, including Debbie, Regina, David, Betty, and Jeannie.
The family would like to express special thanks to both Dr. Flavia Kostov and Dr. Dean Kostov, the staff of Riverside Oncology, ProMedica Hospice, as well as the Hampton Chevrolet family, especially Lewis Wood and the Liberty Live family for all their support and prayers.

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, 836 Poquoson Avenue, Poquoson.  A reception will follow immediately after the service at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 831 Poquoson Avenue, Poquoson, Virginia.
