Pearl Virginia Greene Freeman "Nancy" passed away on December 13, 2020. She was born on December 18, 1924 in Moon, Virginia. She moved to Poquoson when she was 4 years old.
Pearl was an active member of Emmaus Baptist Church for over 80 years. She taught Sunday School. She retired from Morgan Marrow Insurance Company after working for them 30 years. She was a member of Virginia Peninsula Association of Insurance Professionals. She enjoyed participating in their many activities such as, conventions and community service projects. She was awarded the Insurance Woman of the Year twice. Nancy enjoyed spending time outside in her swing with family and friends. They could enjoy the view of the water which she loved. She liked to be out in the yard working with her flowers. If she had to be inside, she read and crocheted afghans that she gave to family members. Nancy lived her life always thinking about her family and friends. She always put them ahead of herself.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Earl Freeman, Sr., sons, Henry Earl Freeman, Jr. and Floyd Russell Freeman, Sr. Grandson, Douglas Paul Freeman and her parents Floyd and Hilda Green.
She is survived by her daughter Hilda Sue Bellamy (Mark) daughter-in-law Jeannie Freeman, daughter-in-law Anita B. Freeman of Nashville, Tenn. Grandchildren, David Freeman (Pam), Darrell Freeman (Myra) Floyd Russell Freeman, Jr. (Therese) of Maine, Nancy Guynn (David), Davis Hall, John Mark Bellamy, Jr., and Christopher Bellamy. Great-Grandchildren; Brielle Bellamy, Bailey Bellamy, Jim Freeman, Blake Freeman, Lauren Campbell, Tyler Campbell, Josh Isbell, Tyson Isbell, Wesley Isbell, Amanda Meadows and Beonka Trantham.
A private service for family with burial at Emmaus Baptist Church with be on December 18, 2020.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Emmaus Baptist Church or Poquoson Rescue Squad.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions all services will be private.
