Raymond J. Comiskey

Raymond J. Comiskey, 76, passed away on July 7, 2023, Raymond was born March 8, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York and was a resident of Poquoson, Virginia for the last 23 years. He served 23 years in the Air Force as a procurement specialist as well as weather forecaster. Raymond was awarded the United States of America Meritorious Service Medal. He received an Honorable Discharge from the USAF in 1988. After his service, Raymond worked as an IRS tax specialist.
He enjoyed spending his time at the beach, swimming, and fishing. He also loved cooking and gardening. Raymond’s favorite sports included golf, baseball, and football. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He loved all animals and spoiled the family’s pets.
Raymond was devout in his faith and served the Lord at Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
Raymond is reunited in Heaven with his son, Kerry M. Comiskey; father, Joseph N. Comiskey; mother, Marie L. Comiskey (Ehlers); sisters, Pamela Sabari and Anne Marie Comiskey.
His memory is cherished by his life partner of 23 years, Frances Munn; children, Jennifer Comiskey, Elaine Butcher and husband Addison; grandchildren, Lucas Comiskey, Jennifer Butcher; beloved extended family to include Daniel Munn, Jennifer Munn, Andrew Munn, Mark Munn, and Sharon McAteer; as well as several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service was held Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
