Rhoda Johnson Leyland

Rhoda J. Leland, 81, went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2023. Rhoda was born on May 27, 1942 and lived in Hampton for over 30 years. 

Rhoda worked as a hairdresser and was one of the most well known 711 clerks in town. She enjoyed feeding the birds, watching soap operas and game shows, and spending time with her great daughter. 

Rhoda is reunited in Heaven with her father, Benjamin Howard Johnson; mother, Catherine Virginia Billings Johnson; sister, Joyce Johnson Jones; daughter, Kelly Susan Leyland.

Her memory is cherished by her daughter Catherine Leyland; grandchildren, Richard Powell, Cody Mitchell, Josh Mitchell; great-granddaughter, McKinley Powell; siblings, Buddy Johnson, Becky Keener, Betty Jean Johnson Higley.
