Robert Dean “Bobby” Holloway, 82, was called Home on March 28, 2021. Born to Tom Curt and Mary Catherine Holloway on September 21, 1938, "Bobby” was a native of Poquoson and resided there for 82 years. He was a civil servant of the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, retiring after 22 years. Bobby was the oldest Poquoson Volunteer Fireman. He served the Lord daily in reading scripture and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Poquoson.
Bobby is preceded in rest by his parents, Tom Curt and Mary Shag Holloway.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Julia Elaine Sheffield Holloway; children, Barry Holloway (Penny), Tammy Holloway; grandchildren, Heidi Holloway, Colton Crabtree (Dominque), Casey Crabtree (Kristen); great-grandson, Carson Crabtree.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home in Poquoson, officiated by Pastor Ethan Holloway. A burial will follow at 3:30 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park officiacted by Carol Bookwalter. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kessler and Dr. Kobulnicky for their care.
