Robert Maxwell Jordan, Jr.

Robert Maxwell Jordan, Jr. was called Home on November 23, 2021. Born on October 21, 1947, Robert was a native of Poquoson and graduated from Poquoson High School, Class of 1966. He worked at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, retiring from nuclear safety after 30 years. Robert served our in the U.S. Navy and was released upon an honorable discharge. He loved boating, cooking, playing with his dog, Scout, and tinkering around the house. 

Robert is reunited in Heaven with his father, Robert Maxwell Jordan, Sr.; mother, Mabel Topping Jordan; and brother, Darrell Lee Jordan.

His memory is cherished by his loving wife of 54 years, Diana "Dee" Jordan; children, Roberta "Robbin" Young, Thomas Jordan and wife Robin, and Brian Jordan; grandchildren, Colleen Pasco, Meghan Young, Amanda Young, Ethan Jordan, and Lindsey Jordan; great-grandchildren, Hayven Houdek, and Hunter Young; in-laws, Larry and Ava Dowdy, Michael and Diana Dowdy, David Dowdy, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A funeral will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home in Poquoson at 6:00 PM with a visitation immediately following the service. Private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Poquoson Volunteer Fire Company, Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad,  or the Poquoson Animal Welfare Shelter.
