Robert “Robby” Turner, 57, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026. A longtime resident of Poquoson, Robby was born January 25, 1968, to the late Robert David and Nancy Jo Turner. Robby worked for 18 years for Apples Machine Shop and was currently an employee with Ball Metal and was going to retire January 25th.
He loved to play baseball, softball, soccer and swimming. His hobbies included working on his 57 Chevy, woodworking and fast old cars. The things Robby enjoyed most were cooking out with the family, drinking his Bud Light Beer, which to be in an aluminum bottle on ice, swimming in the pool, playing with the dogs and telling stories of the good ole days.
Robby is survived by his loving wife of 30 years who won his heart 40 years ago, Lisa Turner; daughter, Brandi Gills (Hamilton); son, Christopher “Bubba” Turner; great-nieces, Kelsie Insley and McKenzie Barrett (Robbie); nephew, David Littlefield; niece, Brittany Littlefield; sister, Terri Littlefield (David); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris Daniels (Robert); sister-in-law, Kim Meadows; great great-nieces, Rory and Hallie Barrett; furbabies, Koda and Onyx and well as many other dear friends.
A celebration of Robby’s life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 24th at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home.
