Roland Stanworth, II

Roland Stanworth II passed away on March 9, 2023, due to complications from pulmonary fibrosis. He was born June 29, 1971, to Beverly and Roland Stanworth. A lifelong resident of Hampton and truly one of the most kind and generous people on earth.  Roland was a faithful employee for the City of Hampton for 23 years. He loved all animals but especially dogs. He truly adored his current dog, Tula. Roland also loved computers, video games and mostly old boring TV shows. He never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing stories of all kinds to anyone who would listen. Over the years he developed a love for Disney World. His all-time favorite attraction was anything Star Wars which he has loved since its beginning. His final wish was to go there to enjoy whatever activities that he could do. We are so happy that he was able to get this wish done. Many priceless memories have been made with our family there. 

Roland was predeceased by his father and is survived by his mother, sister, son, niece, nephew and grandchildren as well as many extended family members and friends. He will be truly missed but we take comfort that he is also now at peace and will be waiting for us on the other side. A service to celebrate Roland’s life will be held on Saturday March the 25th at First United Methodist Church Foxhill, 1 Salt Ponds Rd, Hampton Va. 23664 at 2pm.
