Sally Hobby Obituary

Sally Ann Muza Hobby, 83, went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2021. Born on October 20, 1937, Sally was a longtime resident of Poquoson. She was the treasurer for Bible Baptist Church until its closing and enjoyed cooking and decorating cakes for all occasions for about 20 years.

Sally is reunited in Heaven with her first husband, Ivan Muza; daughter, Tracy Schweitzer; son, Troy Muza; great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Adams; and parents, Ivan and Sally Muza.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, James Fred Hobby; children, James Muza and wife Nicole; stepchildren, Michael R. Hobby, Dawn Renae Davis; grandchildren, Kayla Muza, Adan Schweitzer, Rachel Schardt, Heather, Melinda, Daniel, Luke, Jeremy, James, Matthew, and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Adams, Andrew Schweitzer, Benjamin, Ian, Roman, Colin, Diggy, Tiona, Ella Jane, Laina, and Howard; great-great-grandson, Grayson.

A service will take place 11:00 a.m.  Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home. Due to COVID restrictions, attendance is restricted to 25 attendees and those who enter the building must wear a mask and maintain social distancing. The burial will take privately in Eastern Cemetery.

 

Services held at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home will be broadcast on an FM radio station. HOWEVER, you must be within 1000 feet of our building. Anyone who is not able to attend in person may sit in their car and listen to the entire service from our parking lot or across the street at Tabernacle United Methodist Church's additional parking closest to our funeral home. The station is 91.3 FM unless directed otherwise.
