Sandy Weems, 62, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2024. Sandy was born on February 24, 1962, in Bluefield, West Virginia and resided in Yorktown for the last 34 years.

Sandy dedicated much of her professional life to healthcare, most recently serving as a Home Healthcare Coordinator at Sentara CarePlex Hospital. Prior to that, she was a case manager at Riverside Regional Medical Center and Mary Immaculate Hospital.

Sandy was known for being the loudest fan at her children’s various sporting events. She loved spending her free time at the beach.

Sandy is reunited with her father, Kenneth Arnold Jackson.

Her memory is cherished by her loving husband of 34 years, Joe Weems; daughters, Ashlea and Alyson Weems; mother, Tommie Jane Jackson; grandchildren, Jackson Morse and Jayne Morse; siblings, Ann Farmer and Donnie Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 4:00PM with a visitation immediately following. Burial will be private.
