Sarah Fidelis Bickley, 81, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 8, 2023, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. A native of Chesapeake, graduate of Churchland High School, and a resident of Poquoson for the past 55 years, Sarah was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church. She medically retired as a Civil Service Secretary from Langley Air Force Base in 1974. Sarah enjoyed creative writing, reading her bible, and watching nature unfold on Lamb’s Creek.
Preceded in death by her infant son, David; father, Louis Schiemann; mother, Norberta Schiemann, brothers, Louis Schiemann, Jr. and Randolph Schiemann, Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Bickley; daughter, Deborah Delosreyes (Ed); grandchildren, Trae, Chris and Colby; step-granddaughters, Caitlyn and Camryn; great-grandchildren, Dru and Ryder; brothers, Calvin Schiemann and Daniel Schiemann; sister, Sheila Tasch, and many other loving relatives, and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19th at Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth by the Rev. Scott Wade.
