Sarah Pauls Insley, 77, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 29, 2022. A native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, Sarah was born May 15, 1945, to the late, Christopher Colden and Elsie Floraine Firman Pauls. Sarah worked at the Maida Plant and then the Poquoson Elementary School for 7 years until she lost her sight in 1988. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and cooking. It is rumored that she never missed the show Family Feud with host Steve Harvey. She loved Mr. Harvey’s sense of humor, and he made her laugh. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Poquoson.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Nickelson Insley, and son, James Nickelson Insley, Jr. aka “Little Nick”.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Nicole Renee Muza and her husband James; granddaughter, Kayla Nicole Muza as well as many other loving relatives and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 4th with the family receiving friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home. For those wishing to attend, the committal will take place 1:00 p.m. at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton. All other times friends are welcome to the home of James and Nicole, 1366 Poquoson Avenue.
Memorial contribution may be made to either the Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Poquoson Volunteer Fire Company.
