Scott D. Werner received his angel wings September 11, 2020. He left behind many friends and a beautiful family. Scott served in the Coast Guard on the icebreaker Northwind and began his aviation career as a flight mechanic. Scott received the Sikorsky Life Saving Award for helping rescue the last survivors of the Marine Electric.
His greatest professional achievement was becoming a quality inspector of aircraft and certified their airworthiness. Scott was involved with Helicopters, Planes, and Airships most of his life. He traveled the world pursuing his aviation career.
Scott was a funny, kind, and smart man. He was fun to be with, outgoing, and made lifelong friends easily. He loved when he was on the water, flying, and being with family and friends.
With great sadness, we say goodbye to a great friend, father, brother, husband, and son. Hold close to the memories you shared with him and he will live forever in your heart.
