Obituary

Sharon Gray Reece, 58, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 13, 2022. A native of Hampton, Sharon was born June 15, 1964, to the late Billie Louise and Emmitt Thomas Gray and she was a Poquoson resident for the last 35 years.

She graduated from Kecoughton High in 1983 and worked in the Poquoson City Schools in various positions including Janitorial, Teacher’s Aid, and Food Service and as a Caregiver within her community. Sharon enjoyed photography and taking pictures of the wildlife and nature scenes in Poquoson, and she loved her Dallas Cowboys as their self-proclaimed number one fan.

Preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Emmitt; husband, Garland Reece and brother, Glenn Gray, Sharon is survived by her son, Jesse Reece and stepsons, Dale Reece (Melissa) and Matt Reece; siblings, Janet Sequin (Dick), David Gray (Dave), Kathy Ehli (Randy), Tommy Gray and Tina Harris (Tom).

A celebration of Sharon’s life will take place 5 p.m. Sunday, December 18th at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson.
