Gloucester – Stephanie Montgomery serenely passed away on October 30th, 2024. Born October 12th, 1948, in Sanford, North Carolina. Better known by many as “Nana & Tep”, she was a calming presence to all that got to share time with her. A graduate of Ferguson High School, as well as the College of Hampton Roads. She spent many years as a paralegal. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and great-aunt. No matter how chaotic a situation had become, she had the presence and demeanor that would place anybody at the utmost of ease. Passed down from her parents no doubt, she had the ultimate love for all animals, which included dogs Rosie & Natty at the time of her passing. The way that she lived her life the family truly believes that Isaiah 57:2, “those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death”, truly defines her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois & Bill Wood. She is survived by her husband Randolph Montgomery; daughter Jami Jackson (Michael); sister Michele Brooks; grandsons Cole & Kyle Jackson; nephew Fray Snead (Monica); great niece Rilynn Snead; brother in laws Jonathon (Lori) and Jack (Cindy) Montgomery. On Friday November 8th there will be a visitation at 5pm followed by a memorial at 6pm. Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, 836 Poquoson Ave, Poquoson, VA 23662. We will miss the loving, caring, strong and intelligent woman that she was. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to her favorite dog rescue, https://www.campgoldenyears.org.
