Thelma "Lynne" Jenkins
Obituary
Thelma "Lynne" Jenkins went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2022. Lynne was a native and lifelong resident of Newport News. She worked in Civil Service as a GS-9 employee in logistics and supply at Fort Eustis. Lynne loved to go crabbing, fishing, boating, sunbathing, and a good game of bridge. She loved spending time with her two sisters and brother at the beach. She was very active in the Women of Moose. Lynne found Jesus and was a Born Again Christian.
Lynne is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of 57 years, Theodore Dale Jenkins, Sr.; parents, Jessie and Virginia White; grandparents, Alice Belle White and Walter White; and sister, Joanne Belle White Allamby.
Her memory is cherished by her children, Theodore Dale Jenkins, Jr and Eunice Darlene Davis; grandchildren, Brandolyn Hicks, Justin Davis, Cameron and Grace Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Trenton and Tyler Davis, Alaila Davis, Kayla and Michael Parker; siblings, Sandra Ziehm and Jessie (Butch) W. White, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 5:30 PM.
