Tommi Davis Weisner departed to join her Heavenly Father in her family home on March 25th, 2026, surrounded by her doting family. She was born to Roy Edward Davis and Dorothy Insley Davis on May 28th of 1958. A lifelong resident of and native to Poquoson, Tommi graduated from Poquoson High School in 1976; shortly thereafter, she married the love of her life, Johnny Weisner, in 1978, commencing a prosperous marriage that would flourish for 48 years. Known for her caring nature, Tommi would go on to dedicate her time and love to the residents of Dominion Village for over 25 years, in which she was endlessly adored by colleagues and residents alike.
An ascribed trait of Tommi’s is kindness; she is remembered as a ceaselessly warm and gentle being, the radiance of her beautiful soul brilliantly reflected inside and out—as not an ounce of malice ever lived in her heart. She was a devout Christian, her strong faith and love for God entwined in the fibers of her being, mirrored in her everyday life and interactions. Everyone around her was referred to as “dallin” when she was near, an affectionate term coined by her intrinsic gentility and Southern roots. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Tommi’s greatest pride and joy was her family; one of her most treasured memories is vacationing with her loved ones to Myrtle Beach and Hatteras Island. She loved to shop, and have girls’ days at the Old Chickahominy House, as well as fishing and camping. Tommi was also a wonderful cook—a staple being her famous chicken and dumplings, always requested by her grandson, Logan.
Tommi is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Edward Davis and Dorothy Insley Davis. She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny; sister, Cynthia Watkins (Danny); children, Jonathan Weisner (Erica) and Shannon Hayes (Donny); nieces, Lynn Zimmerman (Craig) and Michelle Fitzpatrick (Jarrod); grandchildren, Logan, Madi, and Harper Hayes; bonus grandchildren, Lexi and Nick Hester; great nieces and nephews, Shayne and Devyn Zimmerman, Kendall Barke (Colten), Jackson, and Hunter Fitzpatrick; numerous and loving extended family.
The family will hold a visitation on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the Liberty Live Church in Hampton, VA. Interment will take place following the service at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, VA. Succeeding the service and burial, family receive friends at the residence of Tommi’s sister, Cynthia Watkins, at 20 Locust Run, Poquoson, VA, 23662.
