Trevor J. Wright, 35, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2026.

Born on November 7, 1990, in Hinsdale, Illinois, Trevor grew up in Joliet, Illinois and made Newport News, Virginia his home for the past 13 years. He was employed at Newport News Shipbuilding.

Trevor loved spending time with his family, especially his son, Aiden. Some of his favorite days were spent camping, taking trips to Busch Gardens, and making memories together. Football became Trevor’s passion at a young age, and he carried that love for the game through high school and throughout his life. As an avid sports fan, Trevor loved the Green Bay Packers his whole life. He also had a love for John Wayne movies.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Kuehni, and his grandfather, Rodney Kuehni.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kristie Perez; his beloved son, William "Aiden" Wright; his father, Ted (Beth) Wright; his mother, Sheila (Ken) Kuehni; his mother-in-law, Rufina Zayas; his siblings, Michael (Amanda) Wright, Kyle (Jenna) Wright, Kellie Kuehni, Lauren Kuehni, Cyleen (Darius) Walker; his brothers-in- law, Allen (Sarah) Torres, and Eric Zayas; his grandparents, William and Sandra McKay, Ronnie and Linda Wright, and Darlene Kuehni. Trevor was an adored uncle to Chase, Russell, Summer, William and Tatum Wright, Jasmine, Jordan, and Skyler Howard, Isabella and Gabby Torres, and Ina Zayas, all of whom he treasured.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aiden's education fund.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. An additional Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Trevor's hometown of Joliet, Illinois.
