Twyla Baker Wilson

Twyla Baker Wilson joined her daughter, parents, and brother in heaven on August 12, 2022. Twyla was born on October 31, 1933, graduated from Hampton High School in 1950, and was married to Maywood Lee Wilson for 69 years. Twyla retired in 2005 after a 32- year career as a Certified Dental Assistant at the Hunt Family Dental Practice in Poquoson. Twyla relied on her faith as a Christian of the Baptist denomination to guide her through this life, to help her raise her children, and to endure her fight with cancer. Twyla was preceded in death by her parents, H. Clyde Baker and Edna Belle Baker, brother James R. Baker, and infant daughter Liesyl Wilson. She is survived by her husband, Maywood Lee Wilson, sons Lance Wilson (Bitten), Blair Wilson (Teresa), and daughter Treslyn Reichert (Bill), and granddaughters Candice Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Chloe Reichert and Alexa Reichert, and her brother William C. Baker. As was Twyla’s wish, her funeral service will be private and in lieu of flowers please make a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society, 11835 Canon Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23606.
