Vernon Lee Henley, Jr.

Vernon L Henley Jr, 81 passed on January 24th, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Vernon was a lifelong resident of Poquoson. He was a Navy Veteran, worked at Newport News Shipbuilding and Langley Air Force Base until retirement in 1999.

Vernon was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life Mary, parents Vernon Sr and Mary Lilas Henley. He is survived by sons Troy (Teresa) and Shawn (Pam).  Grandchildren Timmy Henley (Kim), Krista Maguire (Mac) Keith Henley (Tanya) and Morgan Henley as well as 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Thursday, January 27th from 6pm to 8pm at the family home, 85 Hudgins Road, Poquoson, for visitation and memories.
There will be a graveside service Friday, January 28th,  10:30 AM at Parklawn Memorial Park 2551 North Armistead Ave Hampton VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad.
