William A. Thomas, 90, passed away on May 19, 2026. Born on September 1, 1935, he was a native of Poquoson and later made his home in Gloucester.
William proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the shipyard after many years of dedicated work. He faithfully served the Lord at Beech Grove Baptist Church.
He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Marilyn E. Thomas; his father, Herbert T. Thomas; his mother, Kancie E. Thomas; and his sisters, Grace Blizzard and Hilda Lynch.
His memory will be cherished by his brother, Herbert W. Thomas, and sister-in-law, Nellie Freeman.
A funeral service held at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2026, 10:00 a.m. A private burial will follow at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery.
